Phyllis Schwartzman Pinchuk was born in 1929 in Montreal and graduated from the Montreal Hebrew Teacher’s Seminary. After marrying Abe Pinchuk, Phyllis stayed home to raise their family. She became active in the Home and School Association, helped build a library at her children’s school and along with two others, began working to create Jewish educational materials to teach Jewish concepts and values to older students. They formed Limud Publications, a volunteer non-profit organization for heritage and Jewish programming. Phyllis has also served as Education Consultant to the Montreal Jewish Educational Council.
