This is the Hebrew picture book כרמי הולכת לארץ הסיפורים (Carmi Goes to Story Land) by Ruvik Rosenthal, published by Keter in 2019. Rosenthal, a well known writer on the Hebrew language, is also the author of the children's book The Wonderful Journey to the Land of Words.
Carmi is looking for the way to Story Land. Her father says he will look it up on the computer, but meanwhile Carmi sets off on her own and arrives at a great gate. The guard standing there explains that to come in, she must bring a story, a story that is only hers, one she made up herself.
A playful invitation for children to discover how words turn into ideas and stories, and that every child has a story to tell. This 36 page hardcover suits children in the early elementary school years and is lovely for reading aloud together.
