This is the Hebrew edition of Tuvia Tenenbom's Careful, Beauties Ahead!, published in Hebrew as חרדי וטוב לו.
Tenenbom, son and grandson of ultra-Orthodox rabbis, left that world as a young man. Decades later he came back, living for a year in Mea Shearim in Jerusalem to see how ultra-Orthodox life has changed, if at all. He became one of them again: praying in their synagogues, studying in their yeshivas, eating and singing with them, joining Shabbat meals, traveling to the graves of holy rabbis and talking with spiritual leaders, all in Yiddish.
In time people opened up to him, and their world of faith revealed itself in all its fascination and contradictions. The result is a spiritual journey full of Jewish humor, Jewish fears, Jewish wisdom and Jewish tradition. Published in Hebrew by Sela Meir.
