Description:
The present volume is the fourth part of the Arabic Language and Grammar. Volume 4 of Arabic Language and Grammar continues on the same lines as the preceding ones, being composed of lessons in grammar and of reading matter based thereon. There are also syntactical rules in this volume, either given in separate lessons, or appended, in form of notes, to the glossaries which follow the reading lessons. As to the reading lessons of this volume, they are composed of exercises based on the grammatical rules, of selections from the Arabic newspapers and of selections from the modern Arabic literature.

The Arabic-English vocabulary which is appended to this volume contains the new words used in the Arabic texts of the present volume, which were brought neither in the vocabularies of the preceding volumes of the present book, nor in those appended to the two parts of 'Selections from the Arabic Press' the two supplementaries to the third volume.
