This volume is the third part of the Arabic Language and Grammar. The present volume of the book is, like the preceding volumes, composed of lessons in grammar and of reading material based thereon. There are also many syntactical rules which are given in the form of notes to the glossaries which follow the reading lessons. As to the reading lessons, they are composed of exercises based on the grammatical rules, and of selections from various Arabic newspapers and literature. The chief purpose, however, of the present volume is to introduce the student to a reading of the Arabic press, since that is one of the chief alms of students of Arabic.
