Dana Arieli-Horowitz was born in Jerusalem. She completed her Ph.d at the PoliticalScience Department at the Hebrew University. She is the head of the History and Theory unit at Bezalel, where she lectures. Among the books she published: Creators in Overburden: Rabin Assassination, Arts and Politics [2005]; Romanticism of Steel: Art and Politics in Nazi Germany [1999]; In Labyrinth of Legitimacy: Referendum and Israel [1993].Her Book The Totalitarian Ideal: Art and Politics between the Wars is forthcoming.
Dr. Arieli - Horowitz is the winner of Israel`s Prime Minister`s 2005 Award for the commemoration of Prime Ministers - on her book: Creators in Overburden: Rabin Assassination, Arts and Politics.
