Rabbi Ron Isaacs is Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Sholom in Bridgewater, New Jersey, where he served for the past 40 years. He was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1974 and received his doctorate in Instructional Technology from Columbia University Teachers' College in 1979.

Rabbi Isaacs is the author of more than 100 books. Among his titles are the Every Person's Guide series and the How-to Handbook trilogy. Ask the Rabbi (Jossey Bass, 2003), contains hundreds of answers to questions that have been posed to him over the past 25 years. Rabbi Isaacs' books are designed to provide the layperson with easily accessible educational material covering all aspects of Judaism, from holidays and rituals to Jewish law, Jewish sexuality, and prayer. He has also co-authored several books with his wife, Leora Isaacs, Ph.D., including Loving Companions: Our Jewish Wedding Album and Jewish Family Matters: A Leaders Guide.
