H. A. and Margret Rey were the authors and illustrators of children's books, best known for Curious George. They met in Brazil where Hans was a salesman and Margret had gone to escape Nazism. They married in 1935 and moved to Paris. They wrote the original seven adventures of Curious George which are Curious George, Curious George Takes a Job, Curious George Rides a Bike, Curious George Gets a Medal, Curious George Flies a Kite, Curious George Learns the Alphabet, and Curious George Goes to the Hospital.
